The CRX always struck me as an oddball car, but in a good way. It has the college-car vibe, the sort of motor you would turn up in if you had big geeky glasses but could bring the party to wherever you went in the 80′s. It’s not predictable like a Golf GTI, but a genuine quirker.
So imagine our joy when we found one relatively unscathed in the classifieds recently.
Equipped with fully independent wishbone suspension all round, the car was equipped for sporty driving, with a B16A that produced no less than 150 bhp. A stunning achievement by any measure.
We could do without the rims, but hey, they’re Mugen! We also like the brushed metal gear knob which looks so Honda… However, we don’t quite like the upgraded hi-fi and chip up. Small things to pick on though.
At $5.7k/year is truly is a reasonable buy. We’d say go down and take a look…
